I was born and raised in Durham, North Carolina and am a graduate of North Carolina State University where I studied Environmental Technology & Management.  I grew up hunting deer, turkey, and small game on family land with my father.  While spending this time with my father, I picked up his knowledge and passion for the outdoors and conservation.  Every spring we spend opening morning of turkey season together, waiting for that first gobble.  My first introduction to duck hunting occurred on a cold 9-degree morning, in high school, that I spent in a borrowed pair of leaky waders and I have been hooked ever since.  Now I duck hunt primarily with my father and a few close friends on public lands in the Piedmont of North Carolina.   Outside of hunting, I enjoy freshwater and saltwater fishing, continuing the training of my Boykin spaniel (Jack) and spending time with my wife, Sarah, and son, Colt.
