  • Safety First

    • Always practice safe gun handling – NRA Gun Safety Rules
    • Use a safety harness at all times while in a treestand
    • Always use safe ATV/UTV operating practices
    • Always wear a life vest while in a boat

  • Responsible Hunting Practices

    • Never fire a gun from a moving vehicle
    • Always clearly identify your target and everything in the background
    • Ensure responsible shot placement on the target
    • No improper baiting (follow local rules)
    • Do not hunt on any property without appropriate permissions
    • No hunting in high fence areas or around feeders (except for hogs and bears, where allowed by law)
    • No alcohol pictured while handling a gun

  • Obey The Law

    • No illegal drug use
    • No harvesting of illegal game animals
    • No illegal hunting/fishing tactics or practices
    • Follow all posted regulations

  • Be Respectful to All People

    • Refrain from arguments or actions that can be construed as hostile
    • Especially online, be respectful, even when others aren’t

  • Respect the Land and Wildlife

    • Take good photos after the kill, with blood cleaned up, tongues pushed back into the mouth, etc.
    • Don’t take pictures of particularly badly messed up animals
    • Leave the land the same or better than you found it

  • Limit Profanity

    • No written profanity of any type, including social media and online forums
    • No profanity while representing the SBO brand
